The Hardest Tournament in Golf

For the first time in a quarter-century, the 102nd PGA Championship will return to California where the players will be throwing down the gauntlet at San Francisco’s TPC Harding Park, August 6-9. This year, unlike any other in the 102 years of the PGA Championship, will look a little different. Erik Anders Lang sits down with three PGA Professionals: Marty Jertson, Rob Labritz, Ryan Vermeer as well as Rich Beem, who claimed his own PGA Championship victory in 2002 against Tiger Woods, to talk about what it’s like to compete in the “People’s Major.” Tune in to catch the stories from these gutty competitors and even some insight into bettering their game.

  1. Erik I'd love to see you interview some other personalities in golf coverage/broadcasting….someone like David Feherty for instance! Love the work always. Keep it up!

  2. Great video as always Erik. Love your videos, love your style, I’ve been trying to get my hands on an RGC script bucket for quite some time, is there any word on when it’s going to be back in stock? Greetings from Canada

  3. Nice to see the pros as real people. And then of course, watching you play now and then on their setup makes us realize how ridiculously good they are. Great stuff as always.

  4. Beemer commentates on TV in the UK and I can tell you the first thing Beem ever thinks about is MONEY !! Every time he mentions how much cash the top players collect theses days. He's been counting down for years to 50 so he can join the Champions Tour this year and make more cash !! It took a while to get to like him but actually he's a good lad. He gets our humour, he can laugh at himself and when he plays the PGA he knows his fellow commentators will rib him if he doesn't do well. The last few years he's played some really good golf considering he tees it up in tournaments once or twice a year. I think he's determined to make the other commentators congratulate him through gritted teeth ! I hope he storms the old boys tour when he starts to play at the end of this month as he clearly loves MONEY ! Oh, and golf too !

  5. Awesome to hear a shout out Whistling Straits, Sheboygan, WI! So much great golf in that area. Erik you need to check out some of the courses Wisconsin has to offer.

  8. Really appreciate your content, Erik and Team! Every video inspires me to start something like this here in the Philippines even more. Still don't know why you only have 136k subs, but quality subscribers over quantity any day! Keep the authenticity alive!

  9. A real shame this channel has got to the stage of blurring out brands! Certainly contradicts messages in other videos
