To provide golfers with more distance off the tee and from the turf, PXG added several of the key technologies of its new 0211 driver to the 0211 fairway woods.

Looking down at the clubs, golfers will see a larger, confidence-inspiring shape at address, featuring a matte-black finish and a simple X alignment mark.

While the body is designed from AM355 stainless steel, the crown has a fan-shaped carbonfiber piece in the center. PXG did the same thing in the 0211 driver because the carbon fiber saved weight that could be repurposed in other areas. It also shifts more of the crown’s overall weight to the heel and toe areas. This should help make the 0211 fairway woods more stable on off-center hits.

To boost ball speed, the hitting area is made from HT1770 stainless steel, a strong material that allowed engineers to make the face extremely thin. It flexes more efficiently at impact to increase distance.

PXG designers also added significant relief in the heel and toe areas and a pair of rails on the sole to help the 0211 fairway woods slide through grass more efficiently and maintain speed through the hitting zone. Combined with the carbon fiber in the crown, the weight of the rails helps drop the center of gravity to encourage a higher launch.

To help golfers and fitters dial in the 0211 fairway woods to hit shots precise distances to fill gaps in a player’s bag, the 0211 fairway woods have an adjustable hosel mechanism that allows the stated loft to be increased or decreased by as many as 1.5 degrees. There is also a 10-gram weight in the sole that can be swapped with others weighing between 2.5 grams and 20 grams to increase or decrease the club’s swing weight based on its length and player preferences.

Finally, to improve sound and feel at impact, PXG added a honeycomb-shaped thermoplastic elastomer piece inside the head and affixed it to the sole. The material soaks up excessive vibration to give the club a more solid feel.
