Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

  1. I think the most important thing to keep in mind for the average golfer is to enjoy playing. If you worry from shot to shot about your performance and are constantly scared to screw up the next shot, you're not really enjoying yourself.

So take a breath, relax and enjoy the game – not just the few great shots you may or may not make.

  2. Me + H2O = grab a junk ball out of the bag because it’s going in the drink. Seriously though I’m trying hard to approach water hazards just like this. Full commitment!

  3. Life story at the start of the season after hitting off a mat in the winter. I literally look around ready to apologize to the grounds crew

  4. I used these tips today on the course and they worked like a charm. Kept telling myself, “What does a good shot look like?” Gave myself far more confidence and my ball-striking was some of the best I’ve had this year. Thanks for the solid advice, as always, Rick!

  5. My fat shots usually come from too much right hand action, causing the club to bottom out way sooner than I want it to. I always like to feel like I am pulling through with my left arm and left side of my body, and the right hand is just to guide the swing path across the ball.

  6. Bitcoin Price Started a corrective wave after a sharp upward move, bitcoin traded close to the $12,500 resistance just recently against the US Dollar, now the asset is trading at $19,500 region. However, now is the best time to trade the little you hodl, for me, it's been a massive success because I've been able to achieve great profits by trading with Crypto Mileage CoinApp. During my first month, I was able to accumulate and grow my portfolio from 5 BTC to 12 BTC which many will agree is a very good profit ratio you can reach me via telegram @kimbrian65 or whatsapp me +14133703210…

  7. "Rotate around my left leg" Ive never heard it phrased that way before but I like it! It actually makes perfect sense and if you needed to have just one swing thought, that would be a good one to have. (for me anyway)

  8. My personal tip is to make sure you do hit the ground, Rick mentioned trusting the loft briefly but that's a huge factor as a beginner golfer at least for me. My first instinct was to want to lift the ball but that just makes you thin it, focus on hitting the ground just in front of the ball. The more you hit down the more you make sure the ball goes up.

  9. The key to hitting the ball over water is… "What Water?"

I played a round with two guys who hit the ball fairly well. The course had two par 3 holes across a river. The first one, both players hit three balls into the water. They were fixated on the water. I hit the ball onto the green. Walking across the bridge, one asked me how I did that. I said "What Water?" I was focused on the green.

The par 3 coming back, the guy walked up and said out loud "What Water?" He hit the ball on the green.

    I said "$50 please"!!!!!

  10. Great tips, easier said than done for us mere mortals!! Positive thoughts, good technique and duff, plop, obscenities, club toss, proclaim our retirement from golf 🤣🤣

  11. I did this from 150 to the front of the green with a 6 iron and ended up hitting it about 170-180 yard and it bounced on the road and hit a house😬

  12. When I'm playing, I don't care if the ball are flying over grass, sand or water. The ball shall land on the green, nowhere else…. 😉 Great instruction! thx!

  13. Love your tips! I have been following you for years. This video is amazing. Editing details are on point as well. Cheers!

  14. 100% true info – For me I know by the fact my back foot is still flat on the floor that I have hit a bad shot and the result will be a pull or push or a lot worse.
